ma(2) nah(1) wu(3) bian(3). (aka bo bian.)random- i am munching pineapples now and it tasted soo freaking sweet- unlike that of the one selling at some wet-market? damn sour? =/
ok, whatever.
had a so-called swimming session with alvin, jingxiang, chunyu and zengan at csc (bukit batok). it was quite nice though, uhm- meaning the scenery and the facilities. its sooooooo nostalgic when that place suddenly reminds me of that when i was a child, having no qualms about my future and pressures built up over the decade.
i sat on the swing and wondered- how nice would it be that we do not have to succumb to peer pressures, meeting deadlines, conforming to the society and whatever not? to put it in a simpler way, i want a simple but yet happy life.
yes, one's definition of "simple and happy life" might differ from another. but the whole point here is, why do we all have to brood and worry over about something(s) that is/are due like... anytime? say, studying for A levels? or even nearer, the chemistry common test (organic chem)?. i know its such a spoilspot of me to say this in the very midst of some serious fun but it just occured to me somehow.
if i want to go for a swim on a sunny day, WHY NOT? if i want a cup of caramel mocchiato, WHY NOT? i have to admit that it is these simple simple pleasures in life that always keeps my spirits up. it is only after those sweet indulgences that gives me the spur to perform a certain something and gives me the push of motivation to reach for my goals.
but time MIS-MANAGEMENT comes to play here. ugh, i hate this ugly fact that "time waits for no men". there's where the hokkien phrase "ma nah wu bian" aka "bo bian" is most suitably used in this context. and this will certainly and definitely LEAD to some disgusting chain effects which i will not mention here.
so, swimming anyone? starbucks-ing anyone? coffeebean-ing anyone?
think twice.
and you'll never know;
because the future is all in your hands.
ma nah wu bian -hokkien-? you tell me?
